Teenager. Dent On Back Of Head, Bad Headache, Sensitive To Touch. No History Of Any Injuries. Serious?

hello there, my daughter has dent on the back of her head. she is 19 years old. she never had any traumatic head injuries nor has she ever bumped her head. Not to the point of something like this. She gets alot of headaches and they are pretty bad and it s sensitive to the touch.no other sypmtoms . What is this and is it serious.

The type of pain u are explaining here could b occipital neuralgia. The dent may byhere for long or just developmental. But most of the time v notice such a deformity only once ther e are any symptoms, like pain in your daughter's case. But still to rule out there are any intracranial pathology, get an MRI of the head. If the MRI is normal start with Eslicarbamapazine and phenytoin, along with gabapentin to relieve ur daughter. But do consult a neurologist after an MRI
