Depo shot is one of the effective methods for birth control. It is normally only used for 2 years to reduce the chance of bone thinning or bone loss.
Pregnancy tests are usually accurate , they can detect pregnancy within 11 to 14 days after contraception.
The symptoms that you are experiencing may be related to different possible causes including side effect of the depo shot. This can cause nausea, bloating and abdominal pain.
The brown discharge may be dried blood from the short delay in receiving the shot.
I hope this helps
