Teenager. Painful Bumps On Thighs, Missed Periods, Has Hidradenitis Suppurtiva. Due For Surgery. Regular Periods Possible?
My granddaughter has got HIDRADENITS SUPPURATIVA,they are going to do the surgery on her armpits, she is 16 years old, shes only had 2 periods nd they were when she was 14 and not one since. I want to know if they will get her hormones balanced, where she will have her period like every other teenager, and what will they do for her thighs she has 4 to 6 bumps on both thighs at the same time. She is in alot of pain, what will they do for that?
Namaste Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Hidradenitis suppurativa has nothing to do with her hormonal level. They will just be excising the infected sweat glands. Regarding bumps on her thighs are most likely folliculitis, bring it to the attention of treating Surgeon, they will also deal with it at the same time. Also Kindly consult her gynaecologist for further assessment of her regarding periods. Take the Regards
