Tenderness Under Chin And Neck, Sore Throat Post Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Normal Side Effect?

I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy two days ago. After surgery, I noticed I am tender under my chin and on my neck (glands). I also am developing a sore throat. I normally sleep on my stomach and have changed to sleeping on my back for the last 3 nights. Is the swelling in my neck and sore throat a normal side effect? I am currently prescribed vicodin.
