Terrible Headache, Tingly Left Arm. Suffering From High BP And Hypothyroidism. Should I Meet A Doctor?
Hello I currently have high blood pressure issues which I have been taking meds for I also have hypothyroidism also on meds. This morning my bpp has been 142/110,142/101,150/109.142/101,I have a terrible headaches, left arm is tingly like its falling asleep ,should I go to er or wait a bit and continue slow breathing exercises and continue to check bp?
Based on your details you are diagnosed to have hypothyroidism and hypertension.High BP itself can cause headache and hence it should be controlled as early as possible as you already have sensory symptoms affecting the left arm .You need to show to Neuro Physician immediately for clinical examination and CT scan brain to rule out structural lesion .Control your BP with amlodipine 5 mg daily and titrate it as per BP.You also need to check lipid profile as hypothyroidism is associated with dyslipidemia. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Regards Dr Sandhya Manorenj Neurologist Hi Tech City ,Hyderabad
