Terrible Pain In Ovaries Before Periods. History Of Irregular, Long Periods Regulated By Birth Control Pills. Suggestions?
Hello. I am worried about what is going on with me. I have had problems previously with periods, about three years ago I didn't have a period for three months and then I had one that lasted for an entire month. I spoke to my doctor about this and she put me on birth control to regulate me, which helped. Then recently I have been experiencing terrible in in my ovaries, on a scale from 1-10 its about an 8-10. Its only in my ovaries and it has been happening for about a year now. It happens way before my period happens and I am not pregnant there is no way I have only ever had one sex partner, a woman, and neither of us have any sort of disease. I went to the emergency room last year for an infection and I was put on antibiotics and was tested and they found nothing. I am really worried about what is going on and I wanted to know what it could possibly be.
From your description, there is high suspicion of endometriosis as being the cause of your symptoms. You will need to consult a gynobs who can examine you, do a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound to determine the cause of your pain and irregular menses. If the gynobs confirms this, she might place you probably on hormone therapy combined to NSAID. I do not think that you might be having a pelvic inflammation. Another possible cause of your problem is PCOS (you will still need a gynobs to confirm or exclude)
Regards and wish you the best
