Tested For STD's Which Came Back Negative. Possibility Of Herpes With Allergic Reactions. Any Suggestions?
I'm having outbreaks on my vagina. I've been tested for specific STD's with negative results and the doctors suggested it was herpes but never called me back for test results. I called in and asked for the results and the lady who I spoke to said if they didn't call me then more than likely the results were negative. I'm still concerned because I do have occasional outbreaks that can be very painful. They can occur monthly, bi monthly or sometimes I won't get them for a few months. It's been a year now that these outbreaks started occurring. I don't know if maybe they can be from allergic reactions or maybe an STD I have not been tested for. Any suggestions?
Hi, It seems that you may be having herpes progenitalis. You consult dermatologist or gynaecologist for perfect diagnosis. H P is a viral disease caused by HSV virus most probably type 2. Blood test like HSV 1 & 2 IgG & IgM may be done . You may be having attacks of H P at intervals. After confirming the diagnosis of H P , one should go for the treatment ,which may be taken for long time. Acyclovir and famcyclovir may be taken in proper dose for long time. You should improve immunity for prevention of H P. I hope you got my answer. Thanks.
