Testing In Lower Legs, Stents Needed, Knee Replacement Scheduled. Stents Put In Before Or After?

Hi: Had testing on lower legs/ankles, and am told I will need stents. How does this work and where is stent put? I am planning knee replacement middle of October, should this be done before or after? Any after affects? I was 85 in August, but was told by doctor that am half my age, and also very alert for my age, am pianist of our church also. Thank You
