The Brown Pimples In The Groin Region Might Be STD?

So I had intercourse with my boyfriend for the first time, then our second encounter I noticed he had these old looking brown pimples all over his groin area. His whole body has spots and scars all over from privious pimples, He breaks out all over his body but the pimples on his groin look completely different. He shaves his pubic hair all the time, Is it from the razors? Could it be an STD?
