The Ultrasound Report Shows Thickened Heterogeneous Endometrium, Tubulocystic Structure And Bilateral Hydrosalpinx. Can This Be Treated?
Normal sized midline uterus Thickened heterogenous endometrium Tubolocystic structure, bilateral adnexa, suggestive of hydrosalpinges Normal ovaries Hi doc, this is what the ultrasound report suggest and interpretation of this will happen this friday, just really want to know ahead of time what this means and any suggestive procedure required?
Hello. I just saw your question. I would try to explain you about your USG findings. Thickened Heterogeneous Endometrium means that it is the cystic from of endometrial hyperplasia the most common and benign (no cancerous) form of endometrial hyperplasia. This is the most common finding. Thickening can be non-specific in some cases. Tubulocystic Structure mean a cyst formed by the dilation of any occluded canal or tube which may be harmless Hydrosalpinges means distally blocked fallopian tube filled with serous or clear fluid. The blocked tube may become substantially distended giving the tube a characteristic sausage like shape. The condition is often bilateral and the affected tubes may reach several centimeters in diameter. The blocked tubes can cause infertility. I hope this information meets your curiosity. Good Luck Dr. Tripat Mehta
