Third Degree Burns On Buttocks, UTI. On Antibiotics, Having Fever. Pelvic CT, Gall Bladder Normal. Will Burn Cause Elevated Temperature?

36 year old daughter who is paraplegic has 3rd degree burn on buttocks ......4 days after starting wound care, developed UTI ... that has been treated successfully with heavy duty IV antibiotics in hosp for almost 5 days. Fever won t stay under 100 degrees......they have checked gall bladder and did an abdominal/pelvic CT......no other signs there...would the burn (does not show signs of infection) cause the elevated temps?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to HCMForum. Human body is a complicated machine.
There is a term idiopathic means un known cause. It is clearly
written in text books as the last cause of the disease. so now
the temperature may be idiopathic or there may be some resi-
-dual infection in deeper layers of tissues. Dehydration may be
other possibility. it may be corrected by its own in a short time.
Besides i advise you some diet recomendations as Give plenty of
water fruits and juices to recover from dehydration. Give more
of green leafy vegetables pulses sprouts to build general health.
wishing for a quick recovery. thank you.
