Throat Burns When I Swallow And Feels As Though I Have Lump In It

Throat burns when I swallow and feels as though I have a lump in it For the past 3 days I have had what I thought was post nasal drip. Then my throat got very sore, it feels like I have a lump in it and it burns when I eat drink swallow saliva. I don t have a fever, just a nose bleed the past 2 days.

You could be having an upper respiratory tract infection. More precisely it looks like infection of your sinuses and tonsils. I advice you to visit your physician or ENT specialist and get evaluated for the same. On examination, either of these diagnosis can be confirmed.
Mean while, please do gargling with salt water 4-5 times a day to get relieved from your throat infection. Alternatively you can do gargling with betadine solution.

welcome to health care magic, thanks for the query,

Well your history suggests that you are suffering from , the granular pharyngitis , it is viral in origin.

Treatment consists of warm saline gargles, an antibiotic coverage to prevent secondary bacterial infection, antiinflammatory pain killer, a potent decongestant like monteleukast, along with vitamin and mineral suppliments.

All this for next 7 days.

Avoid taking, cold diet. you will be all rite.
