Throat Congestion, Difficulty Speaking, Mucus Formation. What Is Causing These Symptoms?
for the past 3 weeks i have been feeling something stuck on back of tounge or in throat , difficulty speaking, dry raspy, constant trying to hack up irritant. ocassionally (once per day) hack will produce 2cm x 1cm x 1cm chunk of hard dried mucus like material. The shape is consistent. This is followed by an immediate increase in ability to breath and speak with a decrease in need to hack. Infrequently will caugh up small pebble (.25cm dia) very hard, very sharp object like cartalige or bone. Help
hello,
from your symptoms that you have described, you could just have an allergy to dust and cold that could be leading you to have the symptoms.
cancer also has to be ruled with other infection like bronchitis, copd, aspergilosis, asthma also need to be ruled out,
i would suggest you get chest xray done, barium studies to rule out any kind of mass in the esophagus or trachea.
i would suggest get reviewed by the physician for further investigations and treatment
get well soon and take care.
