Throat Discomfort, Sore Tonsils. Taken Penicillin Earlier

Whenever I travel by coach for 3h30mins, i get a scratchy feeling in my throat and within a few hours my tonsils (one side)become sore and progressive get worse, and very painful when swallowing, they look punctured like there's a small hole not too deep and inflammed. This is the second time, the first time they were worse at first they were highly inflammed, punctured and painful a day later there was white stuff on, i went to the doctors and got penicillin cleared within 2 days but i don't understand why this has occurred again only this time i soaked them with salt and mouthwash, the pain went away but there's still a puncture looks disturbing but no white stuff yet, i almost fainted when i looked at them the first time it happened, it didn't look like my throat at all

Hi,
You could be having allergic pharyngitis. Not every time you get a throat pain do you need to take antibiotics or penicillin. Good that you could get it away this time just with saline gargles. Stop looking too many times into your tonsils; only if you have symptoms do you need to worry.
