Throbbing Pain In Sternum/diaphragm Area, Hurts While Breathing, Pressure In Chest And Upper Abdomen. Solution ?

I have throbbing pain in my sternum/diaphragm area. It lasts a few seconds and then stops, comes back a few minutes later. A day later it's still happening and now it hurts when I breathe in. Pressure in chest and upper abdomen, like a very full feeling after eating. Pepcid, ibuprofen, gas x do not help the pain or full feeling or pressure. This happens about every two or three months and lasts about a week.

It may be an esophageal problem. GI consult would help. Get a chest x-ray and EKG as well. No mention of your age and other details makes it difficult to diagnose from the information given.
