Tickling In Chest, Severe Cough With Mucus, No Congestion. Cause Of Worry?
I have a deep tickle in my chest that I can t seem to scratch with the cough it is causing. The cough is very deep an causes my entire torso to convulse as tight as it would for vomiting . I do cough mucus up, but not every time. I have no headache, runny nose, congestion, ear ache, sore throat , or drainage. Should I be concerned that it is more than a cough? Again, the tickle is not in my throat-it is in my chest.
Tickle in throat progressing to chest is nothing but extension of your upper airway infection (Acute pharyngitis) into your lower airways (Acute Tracheitis). You just continue your antibiotics and antiallergics with cough syrup. All things will go away by 7 days.
