Tightness In Chest With Shallow Breathing. History Of Smoking Hookah Followed By Cough And Mucus Filling Chest. Serious?
I smoked some Hookah about an hour ago for about an hour by myself. I stopped because I started coughing alot & it seemed chest filled up with mucus that I was coughing up. Now my chest still feel tight & my breathing is weird (shallow & at times when I'm not almost like suffocating and then I start to cough)....should I go to the emergency room? Should I give it some more time to go away?

Thank for choosing HCM, If you have a history of chest problem previously, then you should not wait any longer, chest problem in the sense, cough, fever, wheezing, or if this is first episode of coughing after smoking, and shorting of breathing, then it could be because of smoking, so wait for couple of days, it will come around, if does not got alright, then it may required some investigation, Have a good day.
