i have tingling/pins and needles feeling shooting across the top of my foot in a line to my big toe and the next toe over. it usually happens when i exert it a bit or just move it quickly into an exaggerated position. it is only for a quick second and i isn t a completely constant thing, but constant enough to drive me crazy. any ideas?
Welcome to the forum. Tingling sensation that you have can be due to peripheral neuropathy. It can be relieved if the pressure in the area is released. The causes responsible for it can be excessive alcohol intake, obesity, diabetes, exposure to chemical toxins like arsenic, etc, hypothyroidism, vitamin deficiency like B6, B12, E.
You can consult a general physician and get clinically assessed. You need to have investigations to rule out the suspected ailments, your should get your cerebrospinal fluid examined, blood tests done to rule out metabolic disorders, Nerve conduction test ( NCV ) done. You may need to get CT, EMG, MRI, nerve biopsy depending upon the diagnosis and severity of the ailment detected.
Change your lifestyle, take well balanced diet, exercise and reduce weight. Neurobion forte tabs and injections can be of help to you. If you have allergy to any medicine alert your treating doctor. Have a nice day, take care.
