Tired, Nauseous, Numbness And Tingly In Right Hand After Open Heart Surgery. Should Be Concerned ?

My brother-in-law had open heart surgery on June 26th to repair an aortic aneurysm and also received a new bicuspid valve. He is 66 years old and has been doing fairly well at home until today, he has been very tired, nauseas and just told us he has some numbness and tingly feeling in his right hand. Is it time to call his doctor or is this normal for 2 weeks post-op? Thank you for your help.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It is not normal 2 weeks after the operation
Complication from surgery or side effect of the drugs need to be evaluated
He needs examination / very likely a few investigations
Call his doctor...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
