Tiredness And Fever. X Ray Done. What Does Findings Mean?
Hello, an xray result shows: there are suspicious densities in both upper lung field. The heart is not enlarged. The pulmonary vessels are within normal limits.the trachea is in the midline. Both hemidiaphragms are sharp and distinct. The osseous thoracic cage reveals no significant bony abnormality..what can this possibly mean??the person feels tired easily and have fever at morning and off at night for a month now..can you please help me on this matter??
hello, your xray completelyy is ok except the suspicious densities.Dirts that are accidentally introduced during film development can cause artifacts to appear as suspicious foci on the film. That is why the radiologist has to confirm any suspicious findings. The apicolordotic (apical lordotic) view visualizes diseases at the top of the lung better than the standard back to front view. It looks for pulmonary nodules that are lesions from pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB), or pulmonary nodules that are either benign (tumor) or malignant (cancer). Go for PPD and rule out tuberculous infection.Thank you.
