Toe Nail Coming Off The Nail Bed. Have Fungal Infection. Need Advice

My right feet toe nail has been lifting from the bed for the last 1.5 years.Had been under treatment for with anti-fungal tablets (without any sample taken) by 2 different doctors.It grows but keeps detaching from the same spot which is almost from the base.Kindly let me know which doctor would be the best in bangalore to be consulted for this condition.

Hi, you are onycholysis. Onychomycosis, i.e. fungus of nail may be the cause. There are many causes of onycholysis. ... Skin diseases like psoriasis, dermatitis, pemphigus vulgaris, porphyria cutanea tarda.., infections like bacteria,fungus,yeast,virus....,internal diseases like anaemia,pellagra,amyloidosis,leprosy,thyroid dysfunctions,DM,peripheral vascular insufficiency, chronic lung diseases, chronic sinus diesases, reiters disease,scleroderma, psoriatic arthropathy, yellow nail syndrome.., drugs like anticancer drugs, tetracycline, psoralen,chlorpromazine, oral contraceptive.., contact allergy,hereditary diseases..etc. So , you should contact eminent dermatologist ,for perfect diagnosis and treatment.
