Tonsil Swollen And Hurts When Swallowing. No Cold Symptoms. No Adenoids. Wisdom Tooth Cutting. Took Ibrufen And Ciproflaxin
Hello. Probably an hour ago the left side of my throat became very swollen. the tonsil and the area around have increased at least 25% in size and it hurts to swallow. Constant numbing pain that i can feel even up into my ear. I don't think I'm running a fever, throat is not itchy, no runny nose/cold symptoms and I had no throat pain prior to this. I do not have my adenoids. All four of my wisdom teeth are cutting. Right side is normal. I took an ibuprofen 800 and a ciproflaxin 500 about 10 minutes ago.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern. There could be several causes for that. Most common cause could be acute tonsillitis. Please get yourself examined by your doctor who will confirm the same. Do not go for self medication. Some times that can prove harmful. Continue to ask further queries as required. Hope this helps.
