Took DB10 To Start With Periods. But Did Not Get And Sonography Report Showed Pregnant. Effects Of DB10?
My last period was on 28/02/2013. There after since I was not getting periods i went to a physician he did upt test on 13/04/2013 and thereafter I did sonography of USG pelvis and it turned out to be negative. The physician gave me DB10 tablets to start with regular period. I have one tab each for next days but period did not started. thereafter i was feeling very uneasy and suffering from nausea i again consulted another doctor she told for upt test in pathological lab and for another sonography. I did the upt test in lab on 11/05/2013 and it was positive thereafter on 14/05/2013 I did sonography it was positive and the report shows 8 weeks of pregnancy. My question is that in between i had DB 10 tablets for 10 days probably during the period i was conceiving. what would the consequences and side effects of this tablets on the pregnancy...Pls advice I am worried?
Hi, Medication used to induce withdrawal bleeding is likely to cause malformations when given during the phase of differentiation of genitalia,i.e., when hormones have an influence, after 45 days of conception. If taken prior to that period, adverse effects may not be likely. Yet, it is always advisable to follow up with serial sonograms and discuss with your consultant regarding further management. Good luck.
