Torn Penile Foreskin After Intercourse. Cause?

Hi I was having sex with my girlfriend and I tore the skin that holds the foreskin to the head it just stretched and started bleeding after a couple days it was fine but sore, I've had sex more and now it hurts to put it in and my foreskin around my head is really sore, even not having sex for awhile and it is still sore when I try to pull the skin back to clean in the shower. What is wrong ?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.
If you have a tight prepuce and if it is not able to move freely over the head of your penis, it may likely to tear during the act of intercourse. If your partner is not having adequate lubrication during intercourse or if you insert your penis in a wrong direction also there may be chances for torn foreskin.

It is not enough to abstain from sex for two or three days. The healing will not be complete. If you abstain from sex for 7-10 days and apply some antibiotic cream the healing will be complete. Then there may not be the problem.
In spite of this if the problem persist circumcision (removal of foreskin) is the solution for you.
Wish you a speedy recovery

Hello,
You say that the foreskin covering the Glans penis is stretched, started bleeding and sore. This is similar to any type of injury anywhere in the body. Because of the stretch the mucosa underneath the foreskin might have injured/torn and started bleeding. So naturally it will take some time to heal. Antibiotic, Painkillers, local application of antibiotic ointment and a very slow retraction of the foreskin to clean or to apply ointment is advised
Any injury, REST is a must. I think you understand that. Avoid erection and intercourse till it heals fully. Shall we take it granted, say 15 days.
Sometime circumcision may be needed if “full retraction of foreskin” is not possible after 15 days
Best wishes for speedy recovery
