Total Bilirubin Is 1.79 Mg/dl, Always High Count. How To Keep Under Control?

Hello sir, There is been always increase in my bilirubin since 2 years recently I had again went for regular health check up where everything was normal except in LFT and the reports are Total Bilirubin is 1.79 mg/dl, Direct bilirubin is 0.28 mg/dl and Indirect Bilirubin is 1.51 mg/dl. Request you to please advice me what can be done and how it might have been caused? Thanks.

If you have no jaundice or loss of appetite and you are feeling well , ..... then the lab reports of repeatedly elevated Bilirubin values means that you are having congenital( by birth ) condition ( not disease) like Gilbert syndrome.

Gilbert syndrome is not serious condition, Your Bilirubin levels will be elevated slightly and it may increase further whenever you body faces stress like infection or dehydration.The elevated Bilirubin will come down on its own after the stress , but it will always remain a little above general population normal value,
But your LFT enzyme ( SGPT, SGOT ) levels will always be normal
Nothing can be done and nothing need to be done. Realise that it is not a disease.
If your liver enzymes are elevated or Ultrasound shows abnormality in liver or gallbladder consult a gastroenterologist ,
