Treatment For Sore Throat, Runny Nose, And Ear Pressure?
Hello there. I am 38 years old, female, in good overall health. Started with a sore throat on Friday (felt like strep to me which I have had often). On Saturday I experienced a sore throat, headache, fatigue, chills and low grade fever (100.8). Sunday the symptoms continued, minus the fever and chills. Monday and Tuesday I had yellow, goopy eyes which sealed shut when asleep. Today, I still have a sore throat, runny nose and now have pressure in my ears, similar to the feeling you get when swimming when you have water in them. Wondering if this is viral, or if it seems to you bacterial or something I need to see my doctor for. I have 3 young children and unfortunately, they don't give me sick time!!! Lol. hi and thanks for the query,
for the sore throat you can take a pain killer like tylenol or ibuprofen after checking the dose.
for the runny nose you will need an antihistamine like cetirizine.
for the pressure in your ears please instill otrivin nose drops 3 drops 3 times a day for 5 days.
you will need an antibiotic as well so please see a doctor asap.
drink plenty of fluids and try to get some rest.
these infections are ususally viral but afetr day 5 turn into bacterial infections.
