Treatment For Whiteheads On Upper Lip After Waxing?
Three days ago I waxed the fluffy hairs across my upper lip and chin using home waxing strips. I have done this on my upper lip a few times before with no reaction and this time to start off with it was just a little bit sore and there was some redness. The next day I noticed open skin right on the tip of my chin which now looks like a graze as if I ve fallen over which I guess is where I ve waxed over the same spot too many times. Under my chin is all red and spotty, as a whole my skin feels greasy but in some areas the skin is flaking off quite badly. I have been using my normal exfoliating face wash twice a day to try to help with the grease and the flaky skin, and afterwards I have been applying a light moisturiser to combat the dryness but that just seems to have caused many of the spots to become like tiny white-heads and just replaces the oilyness again after washing. It looks really unsightly and doesn t seem to be getting any better. Should I use Sudocrem or Vaseline to soothe my skin? Or just leave it after washing with no moisturiser? I just don t know what to do for the best!
Leave your skin to calm down. If you develop a folliculitis you will need an antibiotic cream. Please use other ways of hair removal on the upper lip. It’s a very sensitive area and waxing should not applied there.
