Tried Mifepristone And Misoprostol For Abortion. No Bleeding. How Long Will It Take To Have An Effect?
Hello sir. my wife is 7 weeks pregnant. But I have one daughter so my wife use mtp kit with helps of her friend firstly use 1 tablet of Mifepristone…200 mg After 18 hoarse, 2 tablets of Misoprostol, each containing Misoprostol…200 mcg but bleeding is not start. after this she use today 2 tablets of Misoprostol, bleeding is not start, use all kit but bleeding is not start please help me what is the duration of abortion after the medicine use
Mifepristone and misoprotol usually induce abortion in approximately 97% of women within a day. Some may not work until like 2weeks later. Rarely it exceeds a week. Failure rates, though as low as 1-2% exists. In this case, it is advised to do a manual vacuum aspiration or dilatation and curretage.
I will strongly suggest that if it doesn't occur with 3-4days, then meet and discuss the other options with your doctor.

Hi, Thanks for writing to us. In my opinion you should always use an abortion kit in the supervision of an expert doctor. She had pills inappropriately, bleeding normally start immediately after taking mesoprost tablet. You can wait for sometime. Good luck. Take care.
