Tripped And Landed On Face. Skin On Right Outer Eye Swollen And Open Abrasions. Remedy?
Hi, I tripped over a patio chair and landed on my face on my cement patio. The skin on my right outer eye is now swelling, and there there are open abrasions. The quickness of the swelling and the fact that its already appearing bruised are one thing, I am a klutz so this isn't my first black eye. I am more worried about the abrasions and am not sure what I should do treatment wise. I know to ice it down, but I afraid of infection or irritating the eye with topical creams. Also, not sure if I need to patch it with gauze or let it breath? Thanks so much!
Hi, It seems that due to injury there is some infection giving rise to bruises and abrasions. Go for one antibiotic medicine course after consulting your doctor. Once infection will be controlled, you will be alright. Clean your part with warm water and apply antibiotic ophthalmic cream on the part. You may keep lesion open or apply or apply gauze on it. Ok and take care.
