Trying For Baby, Stopped Taking Diannette, Got Period Only Once, Not Having Period Now, HPT Negative. Reason?

I have stopped taking Diannette over 2 months ago and had a period 5 days after but then after that i havent had a period. I jave taken 2 pregnancy tests and they are negative. I went to the doctors and they just said it was because of my pill and could take a while to have a natural period. I am planning on trying for a baby and i want to make sure everything is normal and ok. I have started breaking out but not that bad i am also having dizzy spells lately and horrible headaches. Could that be from stopping the diannette?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

The cycle irregularity (related to irregularity in terms of when you ovulate) AND the symptoms of acne and headaches are all related to your cycles and hormones. These symptoms were all suppressed while on the birth control pills. Given the cycle irregularity alone, it would be reasonable to ask for:

1. Testing for thyroid disease
2. Testing of prolactin levels
3. Check a pregnancy test of course

I hope that this helps and good luck!
