Trying To Conceive. Been Spotting, Abdominal Cramps And Sore Breasts. Have High Prolactin. On Duphaston. Suggestion?
hello doc, my periods were generally on 29th of the month, after january periods i tried to conceive and i found that i got spotting on 24th feb for 5 days, then again i got spotting on 14th march and then 4th april...then i consult doctor and she prescribed me duphaston for 10 days(from 21st april-30th april). i took duphaston and again show the doctor as she asked me for some tests. High prolactin observed so she suggested me b-long-f(2 times a day) and proctinal 1.25mg(only once at night),but after the 4th april spotting, i didnt get periods and its 9th day after i stopped duphaston. what can be the reason and what should be the next steps for me?i feel abdominal cramping and sore breasts etc.no pregnancy test done.
Hi, Thanks for your query. You should go for home pregnancy test for delayed period and should consult a gynecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography. Your period should come after leaving duphaston but it may be delayed because of high prolactin level also. So you don't worry and consult a doctor. Take care.
