hi, my name is madhuri. i am 22 years old and married.i am eagerly waiting to conceive.i have irregular periods since 4 months,i have effected with t.b(lungs)past 1 year and i have taken the course for 9 months, when i stopped this course,my periods started irregular.doctor suggested me that to take ova shield tablets.can i get regular periods by taking this tablets and also how months should i take these tablets to conceive?please suggest me.
hi madhuri,
ovashield helps in induction of ovulation in case of irregular periods or an-ovulation, but just by taking ovashield it cannot be said that pregnancy will occur,
after taking the tablets you have to track the ovulation either by basal body temperature method or cervical mucus method or by ovulation kit or ultrasound and plan intercourse around that period which will increase the chances of ovulation,
sometimes you may need to repeat for 3 to 4 cycles, if these attempts fail better to undergo ultrasound and hysterosalpingograghy to detect any underlying pathology.
take care.
