Trying To Quit Tobacco. Prescribed Celin For Dry Mouth, During Cravings. Dosage And Side Effects?
Dear Doctor, i m upto quit chewing of tabacco, hence my psychiatrist adviced me to take celin whenever my mouth gets dry or when I crave for nicotine , but he didn t told me the dose to be taken per day. could u tell me how many tabs per day of celin can be taken. is there any side effect of this tablet for prolonged use?. pls suggest

Celin contain vitamin C. You can take 1000mg per day. There is no long term harm with its use as it is a water soluble vitamin only.

Kindly taper the no of cigarettes smoked/Tobacco chewed by you or to taper the same whenever you crave for it you may replace a Cig/fag with T.Vit C as per your doctor.The dosage is 500 mg per day as per Text book. But there is no side effect as it is a water soluble compound called Ascorbic Acid which gets excreted through urine after ingestion.
Pls develop a strong will power to overpower the cravings for tobacco as tobacco and alcohol will not provide any answer to any problem in life and only keep profitting their manufacturers.
Also consider consulting some Yoga Experts as a few Yogasanas such as Kapalabhati are said to be beneficial to quit smoking habit.
