Tubal Ligation Done. Mirena Removed. Spotting, Frequent Urination, Breast Sore, Lower Back Pain, Exhausted After Removal. Pregnant?
I had a tubal ligation in Oct. 2006. I had my right ovary and tube removed Feb 2008. I just had the mirena removed Sept 13, 2013. I had spotting for 3 days after removal and nothing since. I am constantly hungry, but have lost weight since the removal, I pee all the time, my breast are so sore it hurts for my arms to touch them and I have lower back pain that comes and goes at all hours of the night and day. I am also just plain exhausted. Is it possible to be pregnant? I heard that the 7 year mark after a tibal ligation there is a higher chance of pregnancy....
Hello Thanks for your query. After the mirena removal, it takes a few days or weeks for your body to get readjusted to the new hormonal milieu. the symptoms that you describe could be attributed to mirena removal. After a tubal ligation, chances of pregnancy are remote, though they do exist. however, what is scary is that if a pregnancy results, it could be an ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is not always picked up by a urine pregnancy test, you need to see a gynecologist for a pelvic ultrasound or blood hcg test. take care.
