Tumour Was Removed After Having Colon Cancer. Tumour Was Spread To Lymph Nodes And In Final Stage. What Do You Recommend?

my mom has stage four colon cancer and in 2010 they removed her tumor from the colon but it has spread to her liver and just this past Feb. it has spread to the lymph nodes. We were told surgery on her liver wasn t an option because it would do more damage and in August the tumors in her liver had grown. She was on a new chemo (she s done them all except we are currently waiting to see if she has the wild type gene so she can try celbitrux (?) which is the one she hasn t done yet) but she had horrible side effects so hasn t been on chemo for about two months now and this past month she s barely eaten (has lost 10-15lbs since July) and had to have a blood transfusion because she her hematocrit was very low and she had high ammonia levels so they gave her lactulose to help her lower it through bowel movements...my question is are we in the end stages of her cancer? I know her cancer is terminal but I m just not sure how much time she has left and her doctor doesn t want to discuss that yet but as her daughter I want to be prepared...any thoughts would help thank you!

Dear,
The Details you are giving about your mother proves that she is in 4th stage of colon cancer by virtue of liver iniolvement. Since she is not on any medication now she certainly seems to be in the end stage of the disease.
Nobody knows the actual time when the end comes but one can predict once patients condition is physically seen by an experienced doctor or a person.

I pray for your peace and courage to bear the agony of your mother and hve faith in the doings of almighty who is the ultimate solace.
Truly,
Dr. J. Ticku
