Two Itchy Bumps On Scalp, Squeezed And Healing. How To Remove The Scab?

I had two small (pea sized) bumps on my scalp (almost mid top of neck bottom of back of head) the bumps seemed to be like pimples , were itchy. I squeezed and all seemed normal and healing . This was in August. Since then, they seem to have merged into larger 1 flat scaly area. red around rim, kind of flaky. I can remove the scab but it seems like a wart type of stuff. Not going away. Advise?

Thanks for writing in.
It could be discoid lupus erythematous ,seborhheic dermatitis, wart etc.
You can try a salicylic based cream over the area.Also you use a salicylic based shampoo daily.
Consider visiting a dermatologist for proper examination and treatment.
