Type 2 Diabetic Patient Has FBS 166 And HB1AC 7

Dear doc: I have recently(one month) been diagnosed type 2 diabetes with Blood Sugar at 166 fasting and HBA1c at 7.0. My SGPT and SGOT are in 90s during this last month (most probably fatty liver). I am quite frustrated as with all measures of exercise, diet control, medication(Metformin) Sugar level in fasting remains in range of 175 to 166 and not coming down

As you mentioned sugar levels are high. You were diagnosed with diabetes just 1 month back. So give some time for diet control and exercise to act on your body. And, also dosage of medication should be adjusted after checking a serial of sugar levels.
