Ultrasound During Pregnancy Shows Placenta On Septum. What Does This Mean ?

I had second level u/s done for pregnancy on 5 July 2013. The report says that the placenta is on the septum. Its inferior limit is located 36 mm superior to the internal os. It has a homogeneous echo pattern. There is no retroplacental collection.
What does this mean? I want to ask can I have sex with my husband at this stage?

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. You ahve not mentioned your gestational age. Placenta on septum can cause threatened abortion or more chances of preterm labour. As the placenta is low lying near the os, you need review scans to to see any migration of placenta to safer place.
