Ultrasound Reports Focal Cystic Formations With Separation Of Bilateral Ovaries. Problem?
Hi, I got my pelvic ultrasound report today and it stated that the right ovary measures 4.5 x 2.8 x 3.6 cm and the left 3.4 x 3.5 x 3.4 cm. focal cystic formations with septation of bilateral ovaries Are demonstrated. Does it mean there is a problem? My obgyn said my ovaries are fine but I just happened to read that note after the visit. I am a little concern
Welcome to HCM.Septated ovaries and focal cysts may need to be looked into further if there are any problems. It appears that your Gynaecologist has matters under control and will probably discuss this with you.You may need further imsging studies like a MRI scan or a CT scan or a laparoscopy if you are having any serious symptoms, monitoring of these may be required over a period of time.
