Ultrasound Revealed Thickened Uterine Lining And Pelvic Fluid, Unsure HCG Levels. HPT Is Positive. Am I Pregnant?
According to my last menstrual period I should be 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. Last week I had an ultrasound that revealed only a thickened uterine lining and pelvic fluid. I had low levels of HCG at 187 going up to 230 in the next two days. I was given methotrexate injection last Weds and went back in today for another ultrasound and beta test. The ultrasound tech stated that my uterus had not changed since the injection and that the doctor could not fit me in today but to come back first thing tomorrow morning. I'm unsure of my HCG levels at this time but took a HPT and it is still positive. I'm so worried that something is extremely wrong..
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
Based on what you are saying, they are treating an ectopic pregnancy. This is VERY serious, and it is unacceptable for a doctor to "not have time" to see you. The fact that there is fluid in the pelvis suggests that there might have even been some bleeding from the tube itself. You need to be seen NOW and you need an HCG level and ultrasound repeated. Go to the ER if necessary and by all means find a new doctor that can make time with such a serious diagnosis.
I hope that this helps. If you have more questions, please click on "ASK ME A QUESTION" link above to directly ask me a question!
