Ultrasound Showed Gestational Sac But No Fetal Pole. Too Early To Detect?

I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks. There was a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no fetal pole . I know exactly when my last period was so I know I m not off on my dates. My doctor said my HCG levels match the ultrasound but the ultrasound doesnt match my last period date. Is it possible it may be early yet to detect the fetal pole?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
At 8 weeks of gestation, not only there is a recognizable fetus, there is a fetal heart pulsations and a yolk sac present which do suggest a viable pregnancy. You can get a repeat scan done for confirmation.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
