Ultrasound Shows Enlarged Liver. Anything To Worry?
liver enlarged 17.1 cms. in long axis with fatty changes of the parenchyma. no evidence of focal leisons. no evidence of intrahepatic bilary dilation. the portal vein is not dilated. I got this report from ultrasound. could you tell me is this really a issue for the liver or is there anything I need to do to take care of this?
Hi, You are having Fatty liver suggests that there is liver damage. This might be due to Alcoholism or some hepato-toxic medicine you might have used in the past. Go for ultrasound at some time interval to know the condition of liver. Avoid fat, reduce your body weight if you are obese. Quit Alcohol if you have habit of taking. Take any medicine after consulting your doctor. Take B.complex and some liver protective medicines. Ok and bye.
