Uncle Having Diabetes and high Level of Creatinine in his blood Hello Sir, My uncle is suffering from diabetes and high level of creatinine in his blood. For your reference to study this case i m giving details of his recent report as below: Haemoglobin- 11.6g/dl RBC- 3.83mil/cmm PCV- 36.7% WBC- 5200/cmm Macrocytosis- Mild Glucose (Sugar) Fasting- 101.9 mg/dl Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN).serum - 54.0mg/dL Blood Urea,serum [Urease] - 116.0mg/dL CREATININE,serum-6.11mg/dL Sodium,serum[ISE-IP] - 137 mmol/l Potassium,serum[ISE-IP] - 4.2 mmol/l Chloride,serum[ISE-IP] - 104 mmol/l Urine examination : Chemical examination-Proteins:+ , Glucose-Trace Microscopic Examinations Leukocytes(Pus cells)/hpf:1-2 Epithelial Cells/hpf:0-1 Sir please suggest us proper treatment or else any reference for proper doctor one who can treat and cure it. Dear Krupali,thanks for writing things in detail.This reports are suggesting that diabetes has affected his kidneys and he need further evaluation and treatment.Please see a nephrologist in your city and take his advise.Please make sure he takes proper and regular treatment other wise he will lend up in more problems.take care .

hello.Welcome.reports suggest it to be a case of Diabetic Nephropathy which is a microvascular complication of longterm uncontrolled diabetes.His 24 hour urine estimation is to done and see whether patient is having microalbuminaria or overt proteinuria.More than 300 mg albumin per day is labelled as overt proteinuria and once this develops the time taken to develop end stage renal failure on an average is 5 years.The patient must be constantly monitored by a nephrologist.Good luck.
