Under Birth Control. Late Periods. Abnormal Discharge. What Is This?

Hi, sorry for the graphic nature of this post!
I started on the birth control pill midcycle and as a result my period was 3 weeks late. Yesterday it was extremely heavy and all of a sudden what appeared to be a piece of skin passed out! It had dark red parts which could have been part of a clot but also light pink parts and it had the consistency of a thin piece of skin! There is no pregnancy possibility at all and this has never happened!

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As the pills delayed your bleeding there will be some what over growth of endometrial layer.
So the withdrawal bleeding could be excessive compared with normal flow.
Sometimes bits of endometrial layer will also come out along with blood flow.
So the tissue you are mentioning could be part of endometrial layer.
As there is no chance of pregnancy no need to worry.

Take care.
