Under Jaundice Treatment For Over A Month. How Long Should I Avoid Oily Food?
i am a jaundice patient and it has been nearly a one and a half month . my query is that how long will it take me to completely recover since i feel completely normal and energetic. how long do i have to avoid oily food? is it ok if i intake a little bit of oil in my diet because more than 90% of food made in here has oil ??g
Hello and thanks for the query
Liver is one of the important organ that help in the digestion of the fat. Once your liver function is deranged you have to be very choosy in your diet. Since you have no problem presently you can start with a minimal dose of oil but have to avoid excess. The food that must be restricted are alcohol, fatty, oily, spicy, red meat and smoking. Alcohol and smoking are the major factors.
If you feel or your bilirubin level increased even with small dose than you have to avoid it. Recovery depends patient to patient and life style of the patient. If patient follows all the instruction that it will be cured in 1-2 months unless cause is removed.
Hope you got your answer
