Undergoing Embryo Transfer, Have Dark Spotting, Scheduled For Hcg Test. What Is The Cause?
Hello, I ve just logged on to see if there was any information regarding bleeding; I m at day 18 post embryo transfer - I noticed a small amount of blood yesterday morning but nothing else until this morning. This mornings spotting looked darker. Today I was supposed to have my first hCG test however it is a public holiday and no clinics are open. I m not sure what could be going on - I should not have any bleeding at this stage should I? Thanks
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic. This bleeding on day 18 is not normal and should be taken seriously but as you said it isnt possible to get HCG testing so just have complete bed rest and keep taking all your medicines on time till its possible to get testing done. This bleeding can be an early sign of abortion or just an implantation bleeding but rising titres of HCG is the only measure to determine the etiology of this bleeding. In case you have further questions you can consult me on health care magic forum and i will be happy to help Take care and wish you all the best. Dr Manisha Jain (infertility specialist)
