hello dr., my father had undergoes his first angiogram followed by ballon angioplasty last tuesday and he was prescribed plavix, aspirin and lipitor. everything seem goes smooth but unfortunately he felt angina aka chest pain/tightness just as before the operation. wondering why is this happened and what is causing this. he knew this is unusual, and we are so worried. thank you for your promptly reply.

Sometimes, the stent may get blocked...
Dissection / progression of disease in native vessel / resistance to anti-platelet agents and so on are responsible...especially common in Diabetic.
He may need to repeat the procedure / go for bypass...
