Unprotected Sex, Brown Bleeding, Spotting. History Of Irregular Periods. Chances Of Pregnancy?

my period has been irregular for the past 3 years because of weight. so i havent has a normal period in a while. me and my boyfriend do have unprotected sex well the other day i noticed a brownish blood in my panties so i thought it was my period but i just been spotting not like a normal period . so my question is could i get pregnant even if i dont have normal periods.

Hi there, yes you can get pregnant if you are ovulating and irregular period are not any kind of birth controll.If you are not planning to get pregnant then it is essential that you or your boyfriend take some kind of contraceptive measure. Get a PAP smear examination done to rule out any other cause of postcoital bleeding.You could try reducing weight with some sort of exercise regime as it will not only regularise your periods but also has lots of othe health benifits. Take care.
