Unprotected Sex During Period, Immediately Took Plan B. Chances Of Its Working?
Hi, my first day of my last period was January 20. I had unprotected sex on February 1, 2, 3, 4. Not paying attention to timing, i took plan b. On the 2nd (before taking the pill ) i noticed mild consistent cramping that seemed to lighten up on the 4th for a few hours. After taking the pill it obviously started up again. What are my chances that Plan B worked or not? My cycles are typically 29 to 30 days.
Plan B is an emergency contraceptive and should be taken within 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse and another pill 12 hours later. Plan B is said to reduce the chances of pregnancy by 89-95%. Your chances of not getting pregnant are quite good, although you should still wait a while and then test for pregnancy (if you have missed your period).
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
