Unprotected Sex, Home Pregnancy Test Negative. Gall Bladder And Stones Removed.

I had my period on my normal day however it was a little lighter and shorter than usual I am a very very heavy flow type of period I do not really have sensitive breast but I have had sex unprotected before my period and after and my sides and tummy itch kind of (previous to period and after). I have not gained any weight and i feel tired. I have taken many home pregnancy tests all were negative but I forgot to mark my first day of my period for the month of April but I had it March 8th and May 5th but instead of the week to week and half of heavy heavy bleeding use to it was gone by May 10th. I do not have a gall bladder I had that and stones removed after my daughter was born six years ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

First of all, I would have liked to know your age, as women who are approaching menopause, can experience many changes in their menstrual cycles, flow, breast and other changes. If you are around the 40 year age group, then this could be the explanation.

But, if not. Then the only other possibility could be a hormonal change. Hormonal changes can occur at anytime, due to various reasons: peri-menopause, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovaries, etc. If you are diagnosed with any such condition that can cause a hormonal imbalance, then you need to go about an evaluation of the particular condition. Please visit your doctor for more insight on the cause.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
